8M: International Women’s Day

Nearly 600 students of ESO, 1st of Bachillerato and basic VET, led by the “Talde feminist + LGTBI” of the centre, have participated in the kalejira organised by the Muskiz City Council to celebrate this important date.

We gathered in the Meatzari square, where Sorgina Txirulina welcomed all the students and gave us a contextualisation of 8M and the importance of continuing to demand equality day after day.

Afterwards, we went to El Crucero park, where the muralist Aitziber Ibarguren presented the results of a Provincial Council project in which we have participated, together with the other schools, offering our points of view to decorate benches with themes such as racism, xenophobia, the LGTBI collective…

The most special moment came when representatives of the “Talde feminist + LGTBI” read the manifesto they had prepared in a very emotional way.

Manifesto

Jack Kerouac
