A network of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Competitive Development made up of VET centres that makes all its infrastructure and knowledge available to the SMEs of the ACBC by developing a specialised offer. This offer includes advanced training and value-added technical services in the field of R&D&I projects, for the development of innovation dynamics and continuous improvement of the key processes and products of SMEs, helping them to access emerging markets with high added value.
TKgune is articulated in four STRATEGIC ENVIRONMENTS, which cover the following technological areas: Railway, Energy, Automotive and Manufacturing. Somorrostro Training Centre participates in the Manufacturing area by offering technological services for innovation and improvement of products and production processes.
Both public and subsidised vocational training centres in the Basque Country participate in TKgune, with the collaboration of the Basque Government.

Euskelec is a competition organised by Tknika (an innovation centre promoted by the Vice-Ministry of Vocational Training of the Basque Government) in which students from vocational training centres in the Basque Country design and build a 100% electric vehicle on a common motor base (motor, motor controller and batteries) with the aim of promoting teamwork among the students and basing experimental and creative activity as a pedagogical element for the technical knowledge of electric vehicles.
Euskelec es una competición organizada por Tknika (centro de innovación impulsado por la Viceconsejería de FP del Gobierno Vasco) en la que alumnos de centros de formación profesional del País Vasco, diseñan y construyen un vehículo 100 % eléctrico sobre una base motriz común (motor, controlador de motor y baterías) con el objetivo de potenciar el trabajo en equipo de los alumnos y fundamentar la actividad experimental y creativa como elemento pedagógico por el conocimiento técnico de los vehículos eléctricos.
The competition consists of a technical and creative phase with challenges in design, innovation, and communication, all represented in a project report and presented to an expert jury, and a dynamic phase in which the performance, characteristics and design of the vehicles will be evaluated through slalom, acceleration, maximum braking and endurance tests. These tests will result in a set of prizes that will highlight the excellence of the teams in the different aspects of the competition analysis.
The championship is a platform for the training and promotion of technicians specialising in electric traction vehicles and promotes experimentation with new manufacturing techniques and the use of new materials. Participants will be able to meet the needs arising from a new mobility model, based on electric drive vehicles and emerging industrialisation models.
