Yeray never ceases to surprise us, on this occasion he has won one of the 16 EXTRAORDINARY BACHILLERATO AWARDS that the Basque Government has awarded in the 2024 call for applications. These prizes are aimed at students who have finished this year with an average mark of 8.75 points or higher in both years of any of the Baccalaureate modalities.
In order to win one of these prizes, Yeray had to sit Maths, Spanish (or Basque) and English exams along with the 690 other students from the Basque Country who took the exams this year.
Thanks to this achievement, Yeray will receive a certificate of achievement and a grant of 1,235 euros, and it also entitles him to compete for the corresponding National Baccalaureate Prize. He adds this prize to the second place he achieved in the Basque Country Mathematics Olympiad, which gave him the opportunity to represent the Basque Country in the State Olympiad.
Yeray is not stopping. While he awaits confirmation of his admission to the University of La Rioja for the double degree in Mathematics and Computer Engineering, he is preparing his bags to travel to Ireland during the second half of July. There he will study English thanks to a grant from the Basque Government. In August, he plans to work to save some money before the start of the next academic year.
Zorionak Yeray!!!
