The Somorrostro Training Centre will be one of the eight entities that will represent the Basque Country in the Quality Innovation Award 2022, competing in its international phase. It will do so together with Osakidetza’s OSI TOLOSALDEA, ITP Aero (Industria de Turbo Propulsores S.A.), Cyber Surgery, Nazaret and Zabalburu Lanbide Heziketa, UPV/EHU (Student Management), Spouted Bed Solutions, RKL Integral and Estampaciones Rubi.
Our school has been chosen as an International Finalist in the Education Sector Category for the BUCOVIA project developed together with the Nazaret and Zabalburu schools. They have created an artificial intelligence tool to detect signs of bullying in the classroom. Development of the algorithm for the identification of the roles of Bully, Victim and Observer and selection and analysis of questions from scientific tests for the detection of bullying.
In recognition of their management and promotion of innovation, the three schools will receive recognition as winners of the Basque phase from the Basque Government at the Basque Advanced Management Award Gala, which will take place on 14 December at the Kursaal in Donostia-San Sebastián.
They will then compete for the International Quality Innovation Award in their category, together with more than 500 organisations from other countries that participate in the competition every year.
