MÁSTER-HIDRÓGENO

Reckless driving can be very costly

As part of the “Seinale Adimendunak” project being carried out by a group of secondary school students and which will be presented at the Zientzia Azoka 2022, we have had the testimony of a monitor from the Asociación AESLEME who is in a wheelchair as a result of an accident, with the aim of raising awareness among our students about the consequences of traffic accidents. The aim of the talk was to show our students the consequences of reckless driving, not only for oneself, but also for innocent people. They talked about the three main risks when driving: speeding, alcohol and other substances and distractions, mainly those caused by the use of mobile phones.

The Association for the Study of Spinal Cord Injury (AESLEME) was founded in 1990; it is a national non-profit association declared of public utility, dedicated to the prevention of serious damage caused by road accidents. The aim of the association is to reduce the number of people who suffer the consequences of an accident through its own educational campaigns aimed at the whole of Spanish society.

They pursue the vision of “ZERO ACCIDENTS”, as they firmly believe that with continued education from childhood and with the right information, it is possible to achieve this goal in the future.
