Last Sunday, 14th March, the first race, after the COVID break, of the Greenpower Iberia – Bridgestone electric car competition took place in #Bilbao, at the San Mamés esplanade. Eleven cars from seven different schools competed in this race where energy efficiency takes precedence over speed. This time the race sponsored by Bridgestone had the support and collaboration of both the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the City of Bilbao.

The car designed and developed by our GPZ EVO team was the one that was able to cover the longest distance, winning the first prize in the F24 category for young people over 16 years of age. But it was not the only prize for our Somorrostro-Petronor team; they also won the prize for the “best presented” team and for having won in the absolute category, the “Real Peña Motorista Vizcaya”, organiser of the eco-rallye of the Basque Country, has awarded us with a place (including car and fees) in the next edition of this race in 2021.

It has been the reward for the work that our boys and girls of ESO, Bachillerato and CFGM are doing after school with the support of the parents. Zorionak team!!!
