Our 4B girls, Nekane Ruiz, Laura Muñoz, Claudia Hernández and Lucia Ferreño (Las4R) with their STEAM project Las colillas de tabaco ni son semillas ni se ESfuman” are already finalists of the 1st STEAM Euskadi Sariak .

The Technical Committee of the awards – formed by the Department of Education of the Basque Government, the Research Centre for Scientific and Mathematical Education (CRECIM) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Basque Agency for Innovation, Innobasque – has selected their initiative as one of the 12 finalists from the 133 candidatures presented

The project has been awarded the STEAM Euskadi Seal for being one of the initiatives aimed at the objectives of the STEAM Euskadi Strategy and for having a marked STEAM character.

Likewise, the electric car project carried out by the students of 2B and 2C of the ESO has also passed the first phase of the awards, which makes it worthy of receiving the STEAM Euskadi Seal, but it has not been selected among the 12 finalist initiatives.

The STEAM EUSKADI SARIAK are organised by the Basque Government’s Department of Education in collaboration with the Basque Agency for Innovation, Innobasque.

A jury made up of six members of the Committee of Experts of the STEAM Euskadi Strategy will evaluate and decide on the prizes during the month of July and we will be able to know if the initiative presented by our four girls is the winner.
