Exploring the Czech Republic: an unforgetable exchange

14 students of 4º ESO had the chance to immerse themselves in a unique experience through one of the mobility programs offered in our school. On this occasion, the students have participated in the first phase of an exchange organized with students from the Czech Republic, specifically from the town of Zlin.

The first few days in the Czech lands have been full of discoveries for our students. From wandering the historic streets of Prague to delving into everyday life in Zlin, the exchange has been an exciting adventure from the very beginning. After the introduction ceremony with local students and teachers, our young people have started working on a common project that promotes cultural exchange and mutual understanding.

The program has offered a variety of enriching activities. From visiting the Zlin Zoo to participating in exciting laser wars, each day was full of new experiences and learning. In addition, students had the opportunity to explore the city of Olomouc, where they visited the fascinating Pevnost poznání science museum and immersed themselves in the rich local history and culture.

One of the highlights was a visit to the Luhacovice spa, where the students tasted thermal waters with healing properties and enjoyed the culinary delights of the region.

The exchange focused not only on exploring new cities and cultures but also on exchanging ideas and perspectives. During project presentations, students shared their observations on the cultural differences between the two groups, from gastronomy to local festivities.

For our school, participation in mobility programs is essential. It not only promotes the development of language skills but also fosters intercultural understanding and open-mindedness in our students. These experiences enrich their education and prepare them to face an increasingly globalised and diverse world.
