The third edition of the GAZTE ON Programme is underway, subsidised by the Department of Employment, Social Inclusion and Equality of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. Aimed at young people between 18 and 23 years of age without family support, the objective is to promote the insertion of young people in the labour market by implementing comprehensive and personalised itineraries through mixed employment-training programmes. These programmes include different phases: accompaniment and comprehensive guidance, labour intermediation, group training and professional experience.

Caritas, Adsis Foundation, Peñascal, Otxarkoaga, Somorrostro and the company Haizea Wind participate in the project for practical training in a company. The thirty students take part in two different training itineraries, one in Welding, with a special section dedicated to submerged arc welding (a speciality taught in the Haizea Wind company itself) and a second itinerary in Surface Treatment, in which they specialise in working with steel parts that need to withstand marine corrosion and have a life of more than 25 years.
