On Thursday 19 May, the gala ceremony for handing out the awards to the 2nd year Bachillerato students was held at the Barakaldo Theatre. After two years without being able to carry out such an emotional event, 180 students who finish this year had been summoned to the theatre where they were accompanied by their closest family members.

The gala was presided by Javier Laiseca, headmaster of the school, Txema Sáenz, head of education, and Marian Gutiérrez, president of the AMPA. The event has a very special character for the students, as the awarding of the medals highlights the importance of their daily effort and the work they have done over the last two years, which has been very difficult, in short, it is a recognition full of emotions and enthusiasm.

Our student Eder Ranero was in charge of opening the event with his magic show and then each group had their moment to thank the teachers and their families for their support during the stage. In the middle of the event our pupil María Solaeta took centre stage and made the whole room vibrate with her spectacular dance.

The gala continued in the street where the students took plenty of photos with their classmates, teachers and families to make such a special moment unforgettable.
