In this 10th edition there will be a total of 11 training scholarships for vocational training students. In the nine previous editions, the Mining City Council has promoted scholarships for more than 140 students.
Four companies from the locality or directly linked to it are the ones participating in this year’s aid program. These companies are: Amazon, 686 logistics and port transport, Talleres Alju and Gaimaz. Our center, through the Marcelo Gangoiti Foundation, participates in the mediation of several of these scholarships.
The aim of the scholarships is to prevent young people of study age to abandon their studies in order not to further burden the precarious family economy in this time of crisis as well as further strengthen the identity between local businesses or directly linked to them and their neighbors.
They will be able to accede to these the young people under 30 years to the 1 of February of 2023 registered in Trapagaran uninterruptedly at least from the 1 of February of 2022 and that they are studying to a Formative Cycle of Average or Superior Degree in the school course 2022/23.
The amount of each scholarship is 800 € / school year for students of Middle Grade and 1,000 € / school year for Higher Grade.
For the awarding of the scholarship will take into account the academic grades of the last year completed by the student and that gives access to the course for which the scholarship is requested and the income of the family unit. In such a way that the beneficiaries are those with the best academic record and the lowest income.
The application period for the scholarship will be from February 1 to February 15, 2023 at the Local Employment and Development Agency.
