Sustainability and Vocational Training: our centre hosts the Fundación Repsol’s Zinkers FP workshop

More than 100 teachers from Vocational Training centres belonging to the HETEL association have participated today in our centre in an interesting workshop organised by the Repsol Foundation, focused on the implementation of the new transversal module of Sustainability that will be compulsory in all the Intermediate and Higher Level cycles from next year.

The workshop, part of the Zinkers FP educational programme, has offered attendees innovative tools to introduce sustainability content in the VET classroom. Through three practical dynamics, participants were able to learn first-hand about the resources included in this programme: challenges, games, training videos, interactive materials and evaluation proposals, all adapted to the new curricula and with the aim of preparing students to face the challenges of a world in energy transition.

Among the attendees was an outstanding representation of the VET teaching staff of our centre, who valued very positively both the methodology and the practical approach of the workshop.

‘This type of initiative gives us real keys to bring sustainability to the classroom in a natural, close and aligned way with what the new educational framework requires’, commented one of the teachers at the end of the workshop.

What is Zinkers FP?

Zinkers FP is a free and flexible programme developed by Fundación Repsol. It is designed to train future VET technicians and technicians in key areas of sustainability, with a structure of seven modules that cover everything from energy efficiency to the circular economy, including environmental impact analysis and responsible consumption.

In addition to being aligned with the new Education Law (LOMLOE), the programme is based on active learning methodologies and encourages real projects that can generate a positive impact on both the environment and society.

All content is available in several languages (Spanish, Basque, Catalan, Galician, Valencian and English), is royalty-free and can be adapted to the needs of each centre.

At Somorrostro, we remain committed to quality vocational training, connected to the future and sensitive to major global challenges such as sustainability and energy transition.
