Christmas Week 2022

This year we have prepared a Christmas Week with lots of activities and a very special motto:

“MILA KOLORE, HAINBAT BALORE”

In this occasion we wanted to emphasise diversity as a source of richness, and not of conflict, as it is often presented to us, to analyse our role in the situations that are closest to us every day and to identify possibilities for growth and construction. We wanted to present an alternative Christmas to the one that is offered to us socially, away from consumerism and superficiality, as a space for tenderness, simplicity and meeting with loved ones.

Activities have been organised for all levels: Kilo Campaign, Fair Trade, Christmas Prayer, Txokolatada, Zona Minera Youth Meeting, “Self Eginda” Craft Workshops, Classroom Decoration Competition by levels, Workspace Decoration Competition or the now traditional “SomoKanta” with musical performances and the representation of “The Fourth Queen Maga”.
We highlight in the programme the Kilo Campaign in which we have collected products for washing clothes and Christmas desserts to support the Social Dining Room of the Apostolic Ladies of Caritas Bizkaia (Bilbao).

To kick off this Christmas Week, our students from the ESO support class took the chocolate desserts they had made in the cooking class to the Caritas social kitchen in Barakaldo. They were very proud to be able to share all their work with the most disadvantaged people today.

The ESO students wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas with a nice video clip in which students and teachers from all groups participated.

One of the most joyful activities is undoubtedly the SomoKanta festival, in this link you can see the photos.
