The Barakaldo Theatre was filled with emotions, memories and a lot of illusion during the Graduation Gala of the 2nd Bachillerato students of Somorrostro. An event that brought together more than 170 students and their families in an environment that breathed pride and gratitude.

The gala began with a heartfelt speech by Lezo Goñi, a student of 1st Bachillerato, followed by a short corporate video that recalled what it means to be part of the educational community of Somorrostro.

The presenters of the ceremony, the teacher Yolanda Estébanez and the student Markel Iriondo, gave way to the different blocks of a ceremony full of symbolism. The headmaster of the school, Javier Laiseca, offered some words of welcome in which he highlighted the effort, dedication and personal growth of the students over the last two years.

Each group took to the stage accompanied by two class representatives and their class tutor, to receive their awards from the teaching staff and the academic team. In the middle of the ceremony, the student Alex Díaz gave us a brilliant performance on the piano, which moved the audience and brought a moment of artistic serenity to the evening.

The final part of the gala also had an artistic component, thanks to the Street Dance performance by students Claudia Coello and Cristina Izaguirre, and an emotional video with photos and memories shared by all the groups throughout the Baccalaureate cycle.

The gala concluded outside the theatre, where the recent graduates, their families and the teaching staff took the opportunity to immortalise the moment with dozens of photographs. A perfect ending to a day that celebrated not only the end of a stage, but also the beginning of a future full of possibilities.
