Yesterday, in the final of the 12th edition of STARTInnova, held in Sarriko, our team formed by Eneko Varela, Haritz Hereña and Ekain Higueras, 2nd year students of Mechanical Manufacturing Design, achieved an impressive second place after a brilliant exhibition. 💡🎤

The contest, organized by El Correo and sponsored by BBVA, the Bilbao City Council and the Department of Education of the Basque Government, was attended by 859 students from 36 schools in Bizkaia. In the over-18 category, we competed with schools such as Ikastola Ibaizabal, Arangoya and FP Barakaldo.

🌿 EKO-SCORE: A LABEL FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Our team presented Eko-Score, an innovative label that, in the style of the Nutri-Score, provides clear information on the environmental impact of plastics in packaging. In addition, through an app, it helps consumers to recycle correctly and encourages responsible purchasing decisions. A commitment to sustainability and the circular economy. 🔄♻️

Starting from 5th place, our team went up to 2nd place, achieving a well-deserved recognition and taking home a diploma and an iPad each.🎉📜📱

💡 What is STARTInnova?

It is an online training program that promotes entrepreneurship in high school and vocational training students in various regions of Spain. Throughout the course, participants develop innovative projects that they defend before a jury of experts.
