The Somorrostro Cultural Week has once again become an unforgettable experience. During five intense days, our students of ESO, Bachillerato and Vocational Training have been the protagonist of a varied, playful and educational programme that has flooded every corner of the centre with joy, participation and creativity.
Sport, science, music, inclusion, teamwork and solidarity were some of the main themes of this edition. From the eagerly awaited finals of the ESO, VET and Bachillerato sports tournaments – with a great atmosphere included – to the Herri Kirolak, the solidarity cycle ride or the traditional Somo Chef gastronomic competition, each day has brought with it unique moments.
The STEAM Azoka, organised by the ESO students, shone again with stands full of science and ingenuity, and special visits such as that of the students from San Juan Ikastetxea. We also had chess tournaments, popular games, cultural visits, awareness-raising talks, challenges, exhibitions, recordings, live broadcasts on YouTube and, of course, the overflowing energy of Somo Talent, both in ESO and Bachillerato, where our students showed their most artistic and creative side.
In addition, we have experienced exciting moments with projects of great educational and social value, such as the video clip in sign language made by the students of 1st ESO to work on inclusion, or the solidarity activities in favour of Action Against Hunger.
In short, it has been a week that goes far beyond academics. A space to grow, share, express oneself, discover new passions and strengthen coexistence. As every year, the Cultural Week demonstrates that other types of learning, equally important, also have a place in our school.
Thanks to all the teachers involved in the organisation and, above all, to our students for their commitment, enthusiasm and exemplary participation.
💙 We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
